THREE FALCONS NAMED TO GSC ALL ACADEMIC TEAM
SEVEN NAMED TO GSC HONOR ROLL
 

BIRMINGHAM (6/6) -- Three members of the University of Montevallo baseball team haven been named to the 2007 HAVOC/Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team, it has been announced.

Senior first baseman Daniel Tankersley, sophomore catcher Ryan Norman and junior pitcher Zach Andrews are three of 12 players from GSC East Division teams that were chosen. Tankersley, who was named GSC East Division Player of the Year, was one of four unanimous selections.

Additionally, seven Falcons were named to the GSC Honor Roll. Named to the team were Zach Andrews, Daniel Furuto, Jeff Horne, Ryan Norman, J.D. Pruitt, Jeffrey Reach and Daniel Tankersley.  132 baseball student-athletes in all were named to the GSC Honor Roll for 2007.

UM concluded the 2007 season with a record of 47-17 overall.
