THREE NAMED TO GSC HONOR ROLL

BIRMINGHAM (6/10) -- Three members of the University of Montevallo women's tennis team have been named to the 2008 Gulf South Conference Spring Honor Roll, it has been announced.

Senior Terrylisa Abdool along with freshmen Audrey Carrio and Rachel Hartley have been named to the Honor Roll. The three are among 20 UM spring sports student-athletes named. Hartley was also named First Team All-Gulf South Conference earlier this spring. A total of 67 student-athletes in among the Gulf South Conference schools were named to the GSC Honor Roll in women's tennis.


Academic All-GSC Teams are selected by the Gulf South Conference Sports Information Directors (SIDs) and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FARs) in a joint vote. Nominees must have an overall GPA of 3.20 or better on a 4.00 scale for their entire academic career and may not be freshmen or first-semester or quarter transfers. A student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 to be named to the GSC Honor Roll.
