Dr.
Bluiett's ED 481/581 students created Literacy
Centers to use with primary age children in their
field placements. To celebrate their hard
work, the students displayed their centers on campus
and visitors were invited to tour the room.
Mrs.
Rooker's ED 411/511 students in Literacy Block had
previously learned about using Literacy Centers in
the classroom. In these photos, they are
exploring some developmentally appropriate centers
for different grade levels.
Dr.
Moore's ED 445/545 students are participating in an
AMSTI investigation involving inquiries in number,
data, and space. During this investigation,
the students created representations of 100 cubes,
using algorithms and pictures to recreate their cube
structures. As an additional reinforcement,
the students also played "Plus-Minus-Stay the Same"
using 100 charts and mental math.

had on individual learners. Students compiled
their results into a paper and also displayed
their findings on tri-fold boards. Boards were
