Melynda Sides is a junior, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in journalism and is pursuing a minor in English. She spent her childhood in northeast Alabama, but has lived in Asia for about 6 years of my life since her parents are missionaries in the small peninsula of Macau, located on the south China Sea near Hong Kong.

Melynda says "my past two years at Montevallo have introduced me to some of my closest friends and most interesting classes.  During my time here I have come to appreciate the wide range of expertise Montevallo offers in so many areas, and am glad that I chose to attend a liberal arts college. I love the size of the classes and that the professors here get to know your name."
