ORCHESIS

Orchesis is the performing dance group at Montevallo.  It has a long history and has been on the campus since the 1920’s.  Students who are interested in performing and choreography are encouraged to register.  Orchesis is a one-hour credit activity course offered by the Kinesiology Programs. The class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m.  Extra time is required for performance dates.  Some dance experience is required.  The main requirement is a love of performing!  Kim Deale is the instructor for the class.

Watch our mid-term video projects!:  the Orchesis students choreographed and performed their Spring 2009 mid-term assignments.  Video clips of the performances are below.
