A premier authoritative journal in  international business. The Economist  provides indispensable and reliable information for the global economy.  The Library provides a weekly subscription to the print copy of the Economist in addition to access via many databases.  Business Source Premier is one library database offering the full text of articles in the Economist.

Trade Information and Statistics 

Doing Business (World Bank site)
Doing Business is a guide for evaluating regulations that directly impact economic growth, downloading underlying laws, making cross-country comparisons, and identifying good practice reforms

Foreign Agricultural Trade of the United States (FATUS)
Summarizes USDA's monthly release of calendar year, fiscal year, year-to-date, and monthly value of U.S. agricultural exports, imports, and trade balance

FTD- Foreign Trade Statistics
From the US Census Bureau, Department of Commerce.

NAFTA information
Data and analysis concerning the impact of NAFTA on U.S. agriculture and related issues, including the potential impact of proposed trade agreements, such as the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA).

Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR)
This office negotiates directly with foreign governments to create trade agreements, resolve disputes and participate in global trade policy organizations. They also meet with governments, business groups, legislators and public interest groups to gather input on trade issues and explain the president’s trade policy positions.

Federal Reserve of  New York
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York carries out foreign exchange-related activities on behalf of the Federal Reserve System and the U.S. Treasury. In this capacity, the Bank monitors and analyzes global financial market developments, manages the U.S. foreign currency reserves, and from time to time intervenes in the foreign exchange market.
