Noise 

Residents of the UM campus are also citizens of the City of Montevallo. In addition to policies, codes and ordinances described elsewhere in this document, individuals should be aware that a city ordinance regarding excessive noise is in effect. Section 4-112 Ordinance (93 m) of the City of Montevallo Ordinances prohibits the playing of any radio, phonograph, musical instrument or loudspeaker in such a manner or with such volume, as to annoy or disturb another person, particularly between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. This ordinance also prohibits other unreasonably disturbing, loud and unnecessary noises within the city.
