
SchoolCast
The University of Montevallo uses the SchoolCast Rapid Alert & Notification System, a product of High Ground Solutions, Inc., to notify Faculty, Staff, students, and parents of emergencies, inclement weather, University closings, and more.
Through the SchoolCast system, members of the University community, whether on campus or not, will be notified within moments of an alert being sent. Emergency messages can be sent via telephone (land-line and cell), voice mail, text messaging, PDA devices, fax and email.
Using SchoolCast
1. To access your SchoolCast Dashboard, go to the following
secure web-site: www.myschoolcast.com
2. Enter your Initial User Name*.
3. Enter your Initial Password*.
4. Please provide your cell phone numbers, home number, email address, etc. You may enter up to 10 contact numbers or email addresses.
The most important number you can provide our school is a Cell Phone number. Since most people have a cell phone with them throughout the day at home, work, or when they are simply out in their cars, the best and fastest way to reach you in the event of any emergency situation will be your cell phone. Therefore, we ask that you enter a Cell Number as the main, top priority number for us to reach you in the event of an emergency, school closing, or other urgent event requiring your immediate attention.
