Critical pieces of funding for a new track and field complex and a softball field for the University of Montevallo received approval from the city’s community development partnership on Tuesday.
The Montevallo Development Cooperative District at its meeting Tuesday afternoon approved up to $150,000 in funding toward the track complex at the university and another $75,000 for the softball field in Orr Park near downtown.
