Scholarships for Psychology Majors
The University of Montevallo offers scholarships for Psychology majors. A special application must be completed to apply for the following scholarships by the March 1st deadline.
Drs. James and Judy Rogers Endowed Scholarship in Psychology
Named in honor of Dr. Judy Rogers and in memory of Dr. James Rogers, both of whom were Professors of Psychology at UM, this $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior Psychology major with an excellent academic record. Qualified students may apply in early spring of each year. Applications will be available in the Psychology Office. The selection is made by Psychology Faculty and announced at the BSS Honor’s Day.
The Katherine Vickery Scholarship
Dr. Vickery, a pioneer in women’s education in Alabama, taught Psychology at Alabama College from 1922-1968. This scholarship, endowed by her students, is given as an award annually to a junior or senior Psychology major. The selection is made by Psychology Faculty and announced at the BSS Honor’s Day.
