Program choices are varied and innovative. Our graduates are prepared to meet the dynamic needs of educational institutions, as well as corporate and human service organizations. The mission of the CEHD is to prepare highly skilled, knowledgeable, and continually developing undergraduate and graduate candidates who make informed decisions, use current evidence and research based practices, and promote healthy and equitable communities through careers in counseling, exercise and nutrition science, family and consumer sciences, leadership, teaching, and technology.
Our accomplished and knowledgeable faculty, supported by staff and administrators, provide high-quality programs, curricula, and coursework at the bachelor’s, master’s, and educational specialist levels. 100% of fulltime faculty hold a terminal degree. In addition to providing premier educational programming for our students, CEHD faculty actively engage in their fields of study at the local, regional, and national levels. Many of our faculty serve in leadership roles within the State of Alabama and also professional organizations.
We invite you to explore the “big opportunities” found within the CEHD. If you would like to learn more, please contact us so that we can personally tell you about our programs, and why we believe a degree from the University of Montevallo is unique and highly regarded. |
