Are you an educator of Deaf and hard of hearing students or an educational interpreter? Are you a special education teacher or a related service provider? Are you a university student preparing to be a teacher of Deaf students? Maybe you’re considering a career in Deaf education? Do you wish that you had professional development provided that was appropriate for what you actually do?

An opportunity is coming Thursday nights in June and July from the comfort of your home on Zoom. Every Thursday night, starting June 1 through July 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (CDT), there will be professional development targeted for teachers of Deaf and hard of hearing students, educational interpreters, and related service providers. The official flyer and information is attached as is the link where you will be able to register. There is no cost to you and all workshops will be provided on Zoom.

RID CEUs approved and at a minimal cost.

The presenters this year will be alumni from the University of Montevallo. The University of Montevallo has had a Deaf Education program since 1974 and currently offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Deaf Education. We have a great lineup of presenters with years of experience and with a variety of topics available. We are also sponsored by the Montevallo Regional In-Service Center, so Alabama teachers will automatically get CEUs in PowerSchool, and all participants will receive a certificate of participation for their attendance.
