Elementary Education/Collaborative

The Elementary Education Program with Collaborative Teacher Certification is for those who wish to teach at the elementary level (grades K-6).  Completion of the program leads to a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Class B certification in the State of Alabama (a requirement for teaching in public schools) with additional certification to teach children who have cognitive, behavioral, physical, and/or multiple disabilities.  This endorsement is only available to students in the Elementary Education Program.

After completing 60 hours of college credit (48 hours with General Studies), students will apply to become teacher candidates in the Teacher Education Program (TEP).
