As the only Kodály Certification program in Alabama, the University of Montevallo Kodály Institute (UMKI) provides an exceptional professional development opportunity that will equip music educators with tools and resources to enrich the curriculum, strengthen learning outcomes, and foster best teaching practices. UMKI is endorsed by the Organization of American Kodály Educators.
The event is being held July 8-19, 2024. The location is Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church located at 3736 Montrose Road, Mountain Brook, Alabama.

UMKI Summer Program fees:
- Non-Student: $650 ($100 non-refundable deposit)
- Student: $325 ($100 non-refundable deposit)
- Master Class: $325 ($100 non-refundable deposit)
The deposit is due upon registration and will be applied to the program fee. Class materials are not included. In the case of course cancellation due to insufficient registration, all fees will be refunded in full. Payment options include check, Visa/MasterCard, money order or purchase order.
