Transitioning from high school to college can be tough even in the best of circumstances!

Our first year experiences courses not only provide the academic resources you need to be successful in your time at UM, but they also promote the social and emotional connections that enrich your college experience.

Students who participate in first year experiences are more likely to persist into sophomore year, especially if they are first generation students or Pell Grant – eligible students.
