Announcement of implementation of Virtual Alabama at the University of Montevallo

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The University of Montevallo will be the FIRST UNIVERSITY IN THE NATION to fully implement a virtual tool to completely map its grounds and buildings to facilitate emergency management as well as day-to-day operations. The Alabama Department of Homeland Security’s VIRTUAL ALABAMA program will become a MODEL FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES NATIONWIDE.

SPEAKERS WILL INCLUDE GOV. ROBERT BENTLEY, Director of Alabama Homeland Security Spencer Collier, mayor of Montgomery and chair of the university’s board of trustees Todd Strange and UM president John W. Stewart III.
