Meet the Staff

Deborah S. Braswell, M.S.

Director – 
Deborah Braswell has experience in vocational rehabilitation, evaluation/testing and postsecondary disability services. She holds a M.S. in Rehabilitation Services, and has worked with a wide range of disability diagnoses, including medical, mobility, autism spectrum, LD, ADHD, psychiatric and brain injury.  She presents regularly on transition issues, reasonable accommodations, and 504/ADA compliance. She has provided disability-related services for over 30 years and has been at the University since 1994.

Doneshia Bradford, M.S.

Assistant Director – 
Doneshia Bradford serves as the Assistant Director, overseeing the day-to-day provision of many academic accommodations, including assistive technology and the provision of alternate format materials. Ms. Bradford holds a M.S. in Community Agency Counseling. She has experience in vocational and educational testing and has worked with a wide variety of disabilities, including learning disabilities, ADHD, TBI, mental health and substance disorders.

Amanda Sparks, B. S.

Office Manager – 
Amanda Sparks provides administrative, financial and other office support functions for the Disability Support Services Staff, assists with scheduling and proctoring exams, and notetaking services, and oversees most students employed by the office. She handles most initial inquiries regarding services and coordinates intake appointments for all new DSS students. Ms. Sparks is a proud graduate of the University of Montevallo where she earned a B.S. in Speech Pathology.
