Clayton Colvin and Beyond - University of Montevallo

The University of Montevallo Art Gallery in Bloch Hall is pleased to exhibit the work of Birmingham Based painter, Clayton Colvin. An opening reception is set for Feb 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. His work will be on display Feb. 13 through March 6, 2014.

His critically acclaimed work has been widely exhibited nationally and internationally. Colvin’s works “reflect a naked search for new answers to old questions. Each painting seems to reinvent the rules of pictorial organization from scratch, relying on the shakiest of scaffolding to achieve a distinctive effect” (Art in America, September 2013).
