“The course of true love never did run smooth.” — Midsummer Night’s Dream
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved classics comes to life in this fast-paced, zany and comical production. Set on the roof-top bar of The Globe restaurant in modern-day NYC, misplaced affections mix with mischievous spells as four young lovers and an unsuspecting troupe of aspirational actors cross paths with the fairy king and queen. Midsummer Night’s Dream dives in headfirst, creating a playful piece filled with music, dance and a contemporary twist. Twelve actors taking on multiple roles as the lines between worlds, characters, reality and audience begin to blur.
