As the only Kodály Certification program in Alabama, the UMKI provides an exceptional professional development opportunity that will equip music educators with tools and resources to enrich the curriculum, strengthen learning outcomes, and foster best teaching practices. Levels 1, 2, and 3 will be offered. The Kodály Institute (UMKI) offers exceptional professional development in the Kodály Concept – an approach to music education that begins with the singing voice, an instrument carried by every child.
