Shadowtime refers to an acute realization that the near future could be drastically different than the present. When one experiences shadowtime or the temporal sublime, one’s senses of self and reality are challenged. The works in this exhibition use design, architecture, and craft to explore personal moments of sublimity. Through the depiction of complex interpersonal relationships and unknowable historical narratives, I discover a collective inability to grasp fully our profound connection to one another and the world we inhabit.
