Three hundred and seventy five students graduated from the University of Montevallo in early May after overcoming unprecedented obstacles caused by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past few months.
Because of social distancing guidelines, the graduation ceremony originally scheduled for May 2 has been postponed until Aug. 7, when all spring graduates will be invited back to campus to celebrate their accomplishments.
“The Montevallo family is extremely proud to announce this spring’s graduates. They have proven a talented and resilient group to be sure,” said Dr. John W. Stewart III, UM president. “It will be at once exciting and gratifying to watch all their many contributions to the life of our community, state and nation in the coming years.”
