The National Weather Service is currently monitoring a large storm system approaching Alabama. This is a dangerous system capable of producing heavy thunderstorms, strong winds, and isolated tornadoes from 4 p.m.-midnight.
At this time, the University of Montevallo plans to follow normal business and class hours. The University will continue to monitor weather conditions and will notify students, faculty and staff accordingly. Any changes to the University schedule will be communicated through e-mail, UMAlert, and local media outlets.
Those traveling to or from campus should utilize a good source of weather information, be aware of weather conditions, and use discretion and personal judgment. The safety of our students and employees is our primary concern.
