Montevallo, Ala. – Professor Emeritus Anthony Pattin and Music faculty member Cynthia MacCrae prove that great music is timeless.
The 2016 Pattin/MacCrae Duo Piano – Pattin Piano Fund Benefit was held on Fri., March 11 in Lebaron Recital Hall on the University of Montevallo campus.
The duo performed a four-hand benefit piano recital, with all proceeds benefitting the Dr. Anthony Pattin Steinway Endowment Fund, which will be used to repair, restore and maintain the 25 Steinway brand pianos in the Department of Music. The funds will also be used to permanently name the class piano lab in Dr. Pattin’s honor.
Works by Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Copland and Infante were performed and guests enjoyed a dessert and wine reception in Reynolds Hall Foyer following the performance.
