
Tyon Hudson was recently elected president pro tempore.
Tyon Hudson, a University of Montevallo student from Vestavia, was recently elected president pro tempore in the University’s Student Government Association.
Hudson is a junior and biochemistry major at the University. He graduated from Hueytown High school in 2015 and expects to graduate from UM in 2019.
In his position, he will be responsible for the UM Senate’s learning and practice of Robert’s Rules of Order, which refers to the recognized guide to running meetings and conferences effectively and fairly.
The University of Montevallo Student Government Association strives to facilitate better relationships between the faculty, administration, staff and student body. They work to assess problems, make positive improvements and coordinate change at the University of Montevallo. SGA promotes the ideals of the University, ensures unity through diversity and serves as the student voice to the faculty and administration.
